Back to School is almost here. We've collected some important information for our RPS Online families here and wanted to let you know that we're very excited to connect with you again soon!
School Supplies:
Our staff has created this online school supply list for families to use when shopping for the 2023-2024 school year.

Monday, August 28 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) - Step Into Learning/Open House
Tuesday, August 29 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) - Step Into Learning/Open House
Wednesday, August 30 -Welcome Week Orientation
Thursday, August 31 - Welcome Week Orientation
Friday, September 1 - No School
Monday, September 4 - No School
Tuesday, September 5 - First Day of Regular Online Classes
Step Into Learning/Open House:
All RPS Online students are encouraged to attend our Step into Learning/Open House event, in-person, at Longfellow Elementary School on either August 28 or 29. Students will pick up their devices and course materials, get their pictures taken, and meet the RPS Online staff.
Welcome Week Orientation:
On Wednesday, August 30, and Thursday, August 31, all RPS Online students will participate in an online learning orientation to ensure they are equipped with the information and experience required to be successful online learners.
Elementary teachers will be scheduling extended individual times to meet virtually with students and families to go over technology, learning spaces, and coaching, classroom procedures. Additionally, each student will engage in a 4S interview with their teacher, sharing information about their Sparks, Strengths, Struggles, and Supports. Special area classes (PE, Art, Music, and Media) will start on Tuesday, September 5.
Students in grades 7 through 12 will start Wednesday, August 30 at 8:10 a.m. by joining a grade-designated, virtual homeroom. Additional orientation schedule details will be shared in the August newsletter and at Step Into Learning/Open House.
